Så lät det när Judij Sedych en gång i tiden satte världsrekord i slägga på cirka 86 meter. Släggan gick som en varm kniv genom smör genom luften och landade mitt i den mjuka gräsmattan. Hade gräsmattan varit så illa som på JJB Stadium hade släggan studsat till och flugit upp på läktaren, men inte nu. Stuttgarts gamla Neckarstadioin går inte av för hackor. Vad har då Jurij Sedych, en gammal anabol kille från gamla Spartakiaden-tiden med Dagens Arsenal att göra. Ingenting, men erkänn attd det är en frän inledning.

Wenger skickar ut en riktig pil i världsrymden med att konstatera att Fab och Flamster är det bästa mittfältspar han haft. Jag vetikatten, ja. Jag håller nog fortfarande Vieira-Petit under 1998 aom bättre, men då spelade vi en annorlunda fotboll.

Before we had players with impact and now the players' strength is in mobility.Maybe they are less physically strong in the challenge than Vieira and Petit but they have a good understanding and they cover each other well."
Sedan kommer CL-lottningen som ett brev på posten, Wenger menar att det måste reageras ordentligt inom Gunners. man måste skicka ut spejare, morsesignaler, flaskposter och man måste gräva små tunnlar för att spionera på sina motståndare.
"You prepare [for the draw] in one sense that you are on alert to know where do you travel because don’t forget that you could go to Turkey as well to England.If it's England you don’t need to travel too much because we always stay in the same hotels. If it is to Turkey, particularly with the time between the draw and the first game being very short, you have to organise that very quickly. Then the scouting department is on alert as well because you have to respond and react very quickly.I play a big part in the organisation and scouting. That's my department basically, but the people have worked with me for a long time. They know what I want and I trust them to do their job very well and respond very quickly."
Så, alla som slänger sig med FM-spelare och småstjärnor; wenger lär inte i år heller spendera skjortan av sig. han är nöjd med sin triupp, som kommer att utvecklas. Kaznske här och där kommer han att komplettera, men det är som vanligt - endast med "spetskompetens.". "I will keep faith [with them] because we have worked hard for what we have now.I have said many times, the real target of a manager is to find the balance with what comes in and what goes out and build a team with these restrictions. It is to do well with the funds available.We have money because we made money and we made money because we made the right decisions. I believe a football team is not about buying and selling. It is about building, patience, working together and going through a growing process. Also it is enjoyable now to see the team coming slowly up and see how well they can do."
