Efter matchen var det många som hade svårt att prata om något annat än van Persies fantastiska mål och så handsen på Gallas. Vi sammanfattar lite röster från högen.
Arséne Wenger menade att det var "goal fo a life-time"(innebär enn uppmaning för van Persie att omedelbart köpa en lott) och en makalös upplevelse:
"It was quite unbelievable - a goal of a lifetime. Nobody expected that. I did not see anybody in the box and then suddenly Van Persie arrives. Technically it was perfect, with full pace and power. I felt the ball would go over the bar at the start, then suddenly it finished in the top corner."
Wenger kommer även ihåg de han drömmer mardrömmar om.JimmyFloyd Hasselbaink dyker upp och väcker honom efter Leedsmålet 1999 och när han dök upp i boxen denna gång med 10 minuter kvar, så lade sig hjärtat i knåskålen.
"Charlton fought very hard and when you go away after a Champions League game and are 1-0 down, you need some quality to win. It was an entertaining game. We could have finished it off a few times, but Charlton could also have come back with a few minutes to go and the header from Hasselbaink. When I saw it was him, I thought it was 2-2."
Sedan nser Wenger framåt och inser att det kan bli svårt för laget att bibehålla kvalitet eftersom det nu blir internationella matcher och därefter så spelar man Champions League
"We have maintained the momentum, with five games on the trot, but the negative thing is the interruption. When the players come back, they do not have the same focus on the club as they did before they went away. Then the Champions League match in Moscow comes straight after the international week."
Ian Dowie, Charltons manager var inte helglad efter matchen. Dels menade han att Clattenberg ganska klart missade en straff och att "I'm sure I will get a phone call from Mark saying he got it wrong, but then again pigs might fly.We all make mistakes and I'm sure that will happen. He made a genuine mistake, but the thing for me is he's looking at it. Han menar också att Gunners har hög kvalitet, men att man måste göra mål på chanserna för att kunna störa dem.
"When you play against a team of Arsenal's quality, they have got fantastic players and that can happen. It was a special goal.But when you think about the second half and the chances we created, we really feel we should be on level terms and we were bitterly disappointed.The fans' reaction showed what we're about, it was a great reaction. They saw it was a spirited performance from everyone having a go.
