Medan städpersonalen samlar ihop alla sönderrivna säsongsbiljetter och man monterar dit en bild på Martin Jol som "Bull's Eys" på darttavlan, så är den södra delen av Norra London mycket nöjd och glad. Wenger går omkring och pyser. 19 raka utan förlust mot Spurs och serieledning. Åter igen är Gunners "Comeback Kings" och återigen visar Fabregas vilken enorm spelare han är. 20 år gammal och regerar som en kung redan. Adebayor gör ett konstmål nästan på samma sätt som Henry mot ManU för många år sedan.
Arsène Wenger pyser och myser och vi lyssnar av honom efter matchen, där han var mycket nöjd med lagets genomförande av matchen:"I was very pleased with the quality of our game and the mental strength we showed aswell as the togetherness." . Han höll huvudet högt och trodde på laget:"I could not fault the team at half time. I thought we had played well we just had not taken the chances. I thought that if we kept the pace high in the game like we did that we'd have a good chance to win the game."
Nu är Gunners i toppen av ligan och "I was optimistic we could start the season well. I thought it was very important to do that. We needed to strengthen the belief in the side after Thierry left. No we have not forgotten Thierry. But we have shown that the team is blossoming and growing. That was planned but you never know how fast it will happen."
Wenger var inte helt nöjd med första målet dock. Han vcar besviken för att det var en vänsterskytt som drev in bollen vid stolpen. Han var inte helt nöjd med murens placering. En som han dock är nöjd med är Fabregas, som han medger har hittat målet:"Now he can't stop scoring when before he could not. That shows the importance of what goes on in your head."
Han avslutar med att ge Martin Jol en klapp på axeln. "I don't know the situation he is in. You can only see what the newspapers say. But you always have sympathy for people going through bad periods. It happened to me and everybody. That is where the clubs just have to be solid and support their manager."
