Arsene Wengers egna ord om matchen i Spanien
Så här tycker Arsene Wenger om debaclet i Spanien.
"Hello Arsenal supporters,
It was obviously a disappointing night in Spain on Wednesday.
We did not start too badly but then they had their first shot on goal and it went in. That was a big blow to us. We were then hit by their second goal, which came out of nothing. We then had a good spell but they scored a second goal out of nothing.
When we came back in the second half it was too late. We tried everything but it was too late. We always look to come back when the game looks over, but we didn´t have the vision or the calm to get out of the pressure.
Richard Wright had a problem from a few weeks ago with an injury. But I thought he would be all right to play, maybe it was wrong to play him, but he also said that he felt ok and you have to go along with that.
You have to accept it. But at half-time the doctors told me he didn´t feel right and had to come off. It means that he is now a doubt for the Manchester United game on Sunday, which of course means that Stuart Taylor may get his chance.
It´s another big game in a big week and I am hopeful that we can win all three points.
Arsène Wenger."
