Kristoffer Olsson kommenterar sina inledande matcher för Gunners
Östergötlands nästa stora export till världen kan vara Kristoffer Olsson. Sedan han anlände från IFk Norrköping ifjol, så har han verkligen börjat ta för sig i Gunners. Hans mycket enkla och säkra spel på mittfältet har på kort tid genererat insatser både i Markus Liebherr memorial Cup och mot Borehamwood. Ifjol blev det ett dussintal matcher för Steve Boulds U18-lag med mycket goda vitsord.
Men vad säger svenske Kristoffer själv? Jo han fick prata med Wenger och Kristoffer säger “I have spoken with the boss and he gave me some good tips.He tells me to take fewer touches with the ball and to play it a bit quicker. Playing against Boreham Wood [on Saturday] was not the quickest of tempos but against a team like Southampton it was much quicker.I was just told that I would be travelling with the first team to Southampton, and that was a great experience for me." Han fortsätter "I look up to all of the midfielders, so the likes of Arteta, Coquelin and Rosicky in the first-team squad. I like to get on the ball a lot, not only playing at No 10 but playing a little bit further back because I like to have the whole pitch in front of me.”
Hans nästa mål är nu att få matchtid hos Terry Burtons reserver och själv tror jag att vi får se honom i Carling Cup under året. Jo, faktiskt. "I played for the Under-18s last season so the obvious target this season is to become more of a regular in the reserves. But you never know what might happen.To train with the first team has been good of course and you will always develop quicker by playing with them.
