"We were all surprised when they took the decision."
"A lot of people felt it should have been on and, in my opinion, it should have been."
"I've been here a year and I haven't had a game off yet. It's been soaking wet one Saturday but we got the game on."
"The referee said that day that 90 per cent of the pitch was OK, so the game went ahead."
"They didn't give the Grimsby manager a chance to get down here - they called it off before he arrived."
"It was about midday when they called it off - they didn't give it a chance to thaw out any further."
"They said it wouldn't take a stud, even though they didn't try any studs on it."
"It was an area in the shade, which was still frozen."
"The referee said he was looking at it from a players' safety point of view."
