Edgar Davids om comebacken

Det var Barnet Times som fick sig en pratstund med Davids efter matchen och han berättar på ett ödmjukt vis hur han var nervös och laddade upp som inför en match i Champions League:

 

"I feel the man-of-the-match belongs to the whole group because it was a team effort. We saw that they really had a lot of energy and I’m proud of them because the tactical things we worked on all week they executed them.

 

So I’m proud that they knew what to do because it is hard to digest so much information in a short period of time.

 

There were some spells I was happy about and there were some where we definitely can improve. But the agreements we made beforehand they all kept and they executed some things well and we resulted in a win.

 

I felt nervous. I felt today the same feeling I felt when I had to play in a Champions League match. I had the feeling inside that I had then and I had to prepare for the game just the same way I used to.

 

It felt good and it was good to get the win."
