Anthony Acheampong
I am very pleased to be here, it is big club with massive ambition so I am very happy to have joined. I have trained for a couple of days now and I am getting on really well. The lads all seem great and they have been very welcoming so it has been easy to settle in.
It is obviously different going from part-time to full-time and it will take a little bit of time to adjust but I have really enjoyed myself so far. Joining Barnet gives me a great opportunity to play full-time football and an opportunity for me to keep improving which is what I want to do. I still have a lot to learn and I am by no means the finished article so I am hoping to become a much better player during my time here.
I am a winner, I have just been promoted with Welling United and to be fair it doesn’t matter what level you play at once you’ve won something you keep that mentality. I am hoping I can bring that here and now I want to be promoted to the Football League with Barnet.
I am a leader and I am very vocal on the pitch. I am good in the air and I can score goals so I hope I can bring a lot to the team. I want to keep up my form from last season and prove to people that it wasn’t just one good year, I want to prove that I am a good player on a consistent basis and that is what I will do this season. They can also expect a genuinely nice guy, I am open with everyone and I am delighted to be here."
Keanu Marsh-Brown
"I might not have expected to be here this season but after speaking to the coaching staff and manager I am very glad I am. I felt comfortable playing here and I get on with everyone really well so when I was offered the opportunity to stay it was a no brainer.
I didn’t want to go to another team where I would have had to start over all over again. I know the players and I have great relationship with Edgar [Davids] and Uli [Landvreugd] so I am happy to be back. I also spoke to Paul Fairclough who told me that the manager wanted me in his plans and it is very important that a manager values you as a player so I am very happy.
I have played in League One and League Two but coming down to the Conference Premier will be a challenge for me. That said I think we have a very talented team and we have many players who have performed at a higher level so I am confident we can have a very good season. We also have a lot of young players who have a point to prove and are hungry to play. We have a great mix of experience and youth, everything is set for us to push for promotion.”
