Chris Iwelumo ar inte valkommen tillbaka!
Efter att inte ha infunnit sig till forsasongstraningen och istallet ryktats halla kontraktsforhandlingar med Doncaster och Milton Kaynes Dons, sa har Iwelumo nu fatt sparken.
Albions manager Mark Mchee, erbjod under slutet av forra sasongen Chris Iwelumo ett nytt tva ars kontrakt och den store skotten sag lange ut att acceptera detta erbjudande.
Iwelumo gick bland annat ut i pressen vid ett flertalet tillfallen och berattade om hur bra han trivdes i sydkustklubben.
Infor Play-Off finalen sa han bland annat till den officiella hemsidan:
" -I would be delighted to stay, The Gaffer has pulled me to one side, and both he and the Chairman want me to stay here in the First or Second Division, so it's great that's he's told me that and it's taken a bit of pressure off me. Hopefully everything will get sorted. After the game on Sunday, I'll be in the Dominican Republic, and hopefully I'll be getting that phone call telling me I just have to come back and sign! I would be delighted."
Men i forrgar kom sa de mycket markliga rapporterna att Chris Iwelumo INTE hade dykt upp till forsasongstraningen och istallet ryktades fora kontraktsforhandlingar med Division 2 klubbarna Milton Kaynes Dons och Doncaster.
Iwelumo dok sedan inte heller upp pa tisdagens traning, vilket ledde till att bagaren rann over och Mark McGhee fick nog. Markbart irreterade dundrade han:
" -As far as I am concerned he has turned down the chance to come to us and the offer is no longer there. I am now starting to look at other players, Chris has had his opportunity and that is it".
Iwelumo ar med andra ord inte langre valkommen tillbaka, och vad den store skotten egentligen tanker pa ar en gata.
Var finns Iwelumos ambitioner?? Vilken spelare, spelar hellre i Division 2 med oglamorosa Wimbledon (eller Milton kaynes Dons som de nu heter) an i en division 1 klubb? Trodde Iwelumo att han ater igen skulle hamna pa banken? Fragorna ar manga och gatan Iwelumo vaxer!!
Hur som helst medfor detta att Brightons anfall infor aterkomsten till Div 1just nu ser valdigt tunt ut. Leon Knight ar avstangd de tre forsta omgangarna efter braket i Sheffield och Chris McPhee har ett brutet ben i sin fot. Detta gor att 17-ariga Jake Robinson for tillfallet ar den enda kontrakterade anfallaren i klubben. Ar Trevor Benjamin pa vag??
