Spansk hetta i vintern
"Only Manchester United have achieved back-to-back Premiership titles and to join them is the prime target for us. I know how important the Premiership is to the fans. After 50 years without a title we deserve two more in a row."
Lionel Messí om Chelsea (News of the World):
"There are players here who hate Chelsea more than Real Madrid - I never thought I would hear myself say that. I also never thought I would see something worse than the Boca and River Plate rivalry or even Brazil v Argentina - but this is. We would rather play Arsenal, Manchester United or anyone else than be on the pitch with Chelsea."
Del Horno om Barcelonas anklagelser (The People):
"Talking for the sake of talking is easy after the euphoria of a victory but I won't let them get away with accusing me of deliberately going for him. I am upset because Barcelona are treating me like some kind of criminal over it. I have always been a controlled player. I have never gone in to hurt anybody. I don't know why Messi criticises me, he doesn't know my career record."
Eto’o om Chelsea (The Sun):
'Chelsea have less talent than we do. In fact their main tactic seems to be to try to win the ball, give it to their best footballer Frank Lampard, who boots it as far as he can for everyone else to chase after. I suppose that's why the pitch was so horrible and they resorted to intimidation. There are many pitches in my country Cameroon which are in far, far better condition than Chelsea's.
