1: Name:Mark Freelance

2: Age: 21

3: Location: Beverley/Sheffield/London

4: First of all! Has this season been better or worse than expected?

Just a little bit worse, I think I expected a bit more of a tight call on the play-offs, we were right up there, but for some reason we limped away in the last 5 games and it was as if we totally gave up on the idea. As a fan it's never nice to see your team playing like that, with little passion, no creation and basically seeing out the last few games before they all go on Holiday.

5: Before the season you thought that Ashbee would be our keyplayer. What went wrong?

Well I really don't know, I think it's quite obvious Nigel Pearson and him didn't get on, in my mind we missed him when we let him go. Many others would agree with me, naturally some wont. The thing is we would not offer him a contract and in hindsight with like likes of Matt Duke and Fagan been kicked out the door at the end of the season you can hardly blame the guy for seeking out a new deal he was getting on a bit. Great shame to see him go and I wish him all the best on the behalf of the Tiger nation.

6: You thought that Sheffield United would get promotion this season and that Scunthorpe would surprise. They got relegated. How come that The Championship is so hard to predict?

What a crazy game it really is, but in fairness I have no doubt that Scunthorpe getting relegated is very much related to the departure of the very talented (and very annoying) Nigel Adkins, when he went so did there chance of survival in my mind. As for Sheffield United, I am very confused, I don't know why really, they were absolutely awful this season though but that's football, no one can predict this league.

7 What do you think of Nigel Pearson? Has he lived up to your expectations?

He still has a lot to prove to me, I have faith he will deliver but there have been far too many disappointing performances at home for him to have become a highly popular manager right now. I like some of his signings but I do worry we are becoming too reliant on unexperienced raw talent which could punish us in certain games.

8: Who has been our best player this season? And who has been the worse?

For me Rosenior is a class above anyone else we have, no surprise then that clubs are snapping at his heels to sign him up. Wouldn't be surprised if he had gone before the start of the new campaign but if he does he has certainly put in a good shift for Hull City and it will be a shame.

I don't particularly like to single out individuals for criticism, but if I have to then Harper would have to take the fall. Simply just isn't up to it and was a poor replacement for Ashbee.

9: What has gone right/wrong this season? How come we have been so poor at the KC?

We play a very good counter attacking style of football with pace and creativity. Cameron Stewart was a massive loss and there was no coincidence with out tailing off at the end and Barmby been out injured. It was also a shame we couldn't consistently have a goalkeeper in the net as well. It was a season of consolidation and we all knew it, the atmosphere was atrocious, most home games felt like a training exercise, and we totally lacked leadership.

10: Which game has been the best/worst?

Best I would say Nottingham Forrest away, they hadn't lost at home for a very long time so to go and knock them off high horse was very satisfying indeed and I really thought we would push on from there, unfortunately it didn't happen, one of the biggest disappointments along that road to reality was the very embarrassing 4-2 defeat to Middlesborough at the KC which I have to say was one of the worse displays of defending I think I can remember.

11: Who do you think we should sign during the summer? Which position do we need to strengthen?

We need a new Left back as for some reason Dawson just isn't cutting it anymore. I wouldn't mind a bit of experience somewhere in the squad preferably in the middle and with some quality. All in all the squad isn't that bad but we just lack leadership qualities. With the likes of Fryatt, Rosenior, Stewart, Korren and Barmby I think we have some serious quality.

12: We (Swedish Hull-fans) are planning a trip to England next season. Should we come to the KC Stadium or an away game?
I think it would be best timed to come on a Saturday and wait around until a Tuesday for an away Local derby, it is bound to fall in at some point it always does. Perhaps wait for the fixtures to come out.

13: And finally! Which is your best memory from the past season?

Watching that ball slowly bobble over the line at Forrest away, I thought it would never make it and it was very satisfying to celebrate that with the massive away support we took that day.

I thank you Mark for taking your time to answer my questions during this season!
