Mark Hughes är positiv inför matchen och är dessutom inte ett dugg orolig för mottagandet på Old Trafford.

Motståndarlaget har fått en liten minikris då Carlos Tevez säger i en intervju att han inte kommer att vara kvar på OT nästa säsong och att han gärna stannar i England. Han nämner de stora klubbarna och Manchester City som alternativ men frågan är om någon kommer acceptera en övergång tvärs över Manchester. Dessutom behöver City en targetspelare och inte en till knatte även om Tevez är en av de bästa knattarna som finns.
Som väntat ställer Mark Hughes upp med samma lag för fjärde matchen i rad med undantag av högerbackplatsen som roterats på grund av skada. Nu behåller Micah Richards sin plats och Zabaleta får nöja sig med en plats på bänken efter sin skada. Ingen Shaun-Wright Phillips på bänken vilket naturligtvis är tråkigt då han med sin fart hade kunnat komma in i slutet av matchen och skapat oro.
I United får Tevez ändå spela, den här gången i stället för Rooney. Rio Ferdinand vilar helt och så även Andersson.
