Jackett nöjd med laginsats
Millwalls "comeback" i The Championship slutade mer än väl och en 3-0 seger på Ashton Gate där City normalt är starka var nog en bit över förväntan. Kenny Jackett intervjuades efter matchen:
"I'm very pleased with the team-performance today. This shows some promises, good promises for the future but you know, it's just promises and it's really important that we keep our feet on the ground and keep on working. A good day for us.
"We played very well and I'm very pleased with that of course but it's important that we forget this quickly and move on 'cause we have a lot of work left to be done. It's important confidence gained today and we need that if we are going to earn the rights to stay in this division.
"It's a good victory for us 'cause the first game is the first game and we have to show that we deserves to play in this division.
"Of course we have one or two necessary changes that has to be done now when Batt and Abdou is missing and Carter who is suspended. Maybe it's was a little harsch from the ref to send off Carter for that, I mean people get sent off but this was a little harsch I think. The first warning can I accept but the other one is wrong if you ask me in person."
Nu väntar Wycombe i Ligacupen härnäst och ett ypperligt läge att ta revansch på Wycombe som var det enda laget som lyckades slå Millwall på The Den förra säsongen.
