Forest gästas på lördagen av Leyton Orient. En match som så många andra ser lätt ut på pappret men som antagligen kommer att bli tuffare än man förväntat sig. Leyton Orient ligger i dagsläget på 22:a plats i tabellen och man har ännu inte vunnit någon match på bortaplan än.
För Forest har det gått bättre, man vann övertygande senast i serien då man vann borta mot Crewe med hela 4-1. Man har dessutom avancerat till den tredje omgången av FA Cupen genom en övertygande vinst i omspelet mot Conference laget Salisbury.
Det är inte bara 3 poäng som står på spel i matchen, Calderwood och Leyton Orients manager Martin Ling är mycket goda vänner privat så det är en hel del prestige som också står på spel. Calderwood säjer följande till officiella sidan inför matchen:
”Martin is a very good friend of mine, we played together at Swindon and had a lot of good times there. We found ourselves on opposite sides on my occasions when I was manager of Northampton. I was delighted when both our sides got automatic promotion last season.
"I'm surprised at the position they find themselves in because they are better than that but I understand why they haven't been able to strengthen their team.
The underlying fact is that still have good players and ones that I know can definitely win away from home, because their record was good last season and the season before that”
"It will be good to see Martin but we want to start the Christmas period positively. Christmas is always an important time for a football club and just looking at the number of games we've got coming up, a large percentage of the season is coming up between now and the end of January.
It's a good time to do your work but it's also a good time to be effective in your work.
That's what we've got to do on Saturday - we've got to win the game and take three points and set us up for a tight period of games. This is a game we must win."
