Martinez tror på lycka i Swansea
Den nytillträdde managern Roberto Martinez är mycket lycklig efter möjligheten att få återkomma till Swansea. Han är full av tro på sig själv och laget:
"All I'm asking is for unity, a bit of patience. We want to do things the right way and hopefully we'll get the success we deserve. It's a fantastic challenge. Experience is important in any job you do in life. But I would be stupid to say that experience will guarantee you success.I know I've got other strengths. I know the squad inside out. I know the football club and the fans. I know the expectations. I know what they want and I'm up for the challenge. It's a short period now [until the end of the season] but I'm looking longer-term and I'm looking to take Swansea City to the next level. I'm well aware and well prepared and I can guarantee I will give 24 hours of my day, my heart and head to this job. Maybe I can cover the lack of experience with the other things."
Han har inte alls gett upp klubbens mål att nå en position som kan leda till spel i The Championship. Han uttrycker också ännu en gång sin kärlek för klubben:
"Our aim is to get into a situation to get promotion. There's no doubt about that. Obviously we are realistic about the situation but that's our aim (...) If it was any other club I would have carried on playing (han lämnade Chester som spelare alltså) because I've always said you need to play as long as you can. But Swansea is a completely different situation. It's a club I love, it's a fantastic challenge and I couldn't say no. It's as simple as that".
