En liten kortis med 29-årige Dennis Iliohan om hur det känts att träna och spela matcher med unga Elfsborg.
How long have you been training with the team altogether now?
I trained in December for one week, and then this week here in La Manga.
How do you feel about those two weeks?
I think I had a good week in December, but I am not so happy with this week with my own play.
In the matches, or also in trainings?
In trainings also. It´s difficult for me, I have to learn the boys and how to walk in the games but it´s going okay.
What is the biggest problem for you?
The biggest problem for me is that I don´t know how to run in this team. I had the feeling I ran over the feet of some guys... You know, misunderstandings, a little bit.
Have you been informed well what to do?
Yes, but it is difficult for them to coach me. They have to speak English and most of the times they speak Swedish and then I can´t understand.
But you scored two goals today. It could have been more as well?
Yeah, yeah, there was another chance in the first half, but...
You haven´t been playing matches for five months?
Yes, I played with Stabaek for three months. But then Linderoth told me I wasn´t the kind of player he was looking for.
Have you been trying with other teams as well?
I was in Italy for a week with Avellino in serie C. They said I could sign a contract for two years. I was happy to hear that and I went home and never heard from them again. Typically Italian, they told me...
Do you hope to get a contract with Elfsborg now?
Yes, they play the football I like. They play football very well and a very young team.
Do you get along well with the other players?
Yeah, very good.
You would be like a father for some of them...?
I would be one of the oldest, yes. I hope that I sign a contract to help the young guys.
If you won´t get a contract, what will happen to you?
I don´t know - I should look for another club...
