Tommy etter serieåpningen
Not being sure what to expect in terms of the standard in this prestigious league, newcomers Andrea Doria were "caught napping" in the morning game by the far more aggressive FC Sirs. Though complaints were loudly made by the Andrea Doria staff and support team, the official didn't seem to take to it.
"FC Sirs definitely had an extra player today," - Marcus Björling grunted while angrily throwing his PowerDrink down the pitch. "I question whether he forgot to put on his contacts," - he finishes and walks for the wardrobe.
Though a bit under the weather having lost in the premiere, Andrea Doria is determined to bounce back in the upcoming match. Already the players have begun preparing for the next game where it's rumoured that star winger Jesper Hussfelt is on the verge of investing heavily in top notch equipment.
"I feel I have a lot more to offer, and Nike just might help me achieve a higher level of performance," - Hussfelt says shrugging his shoulders while looking analyzingly on his old boots.
Also Petter "Oddo" Johansson has woved to continue his outstanding workethic, hoping to create more of the type of situations which gave revenues in the shape of a penalty for the blessfully flaired danish forward Jonas Dinnesen.
"What are you talking about filming for a penalty?" - Dinnesen shouts and just waves us off when confronted with the question. "But he wasn't exactly injured was he?" - Johansson whisperes jokingly to us. We also understand that Björling has asked manager Per-Jarle Heggelund for a more sentral role in the team.
"There is more to come from this team, that I promise you," - Heggelund barks while waving his indexfinger in the air. "More to come I tolds ya!" - he adds in a louder tone of voice adding a Klondyketwist to his dialect to underline the point.
With the injurylist looking all the brighter for the enthusiastic Stockholmbased team, spirits are high. Norwegian mastermind Rune Lind is back in light training, David "Safehands" Fälten has "put a cork" in his troublesome diarrhoea and Tommy Pedersen is back on his feet after a week under the sheets with influenza. When asked if he thinks he can make an impact on the upcoming fixture, especially in light of recent articles in various media, Pedersen humbly played down the expectations saying:
"Of course I have read the articles stating my never having lost an airduell, and the comparement with such great players as Nesta and Cannavaro," - he says smiling uncomfortably. "I can only promise the guys I'll give it my best and hope that contributes in a positive manner. The most important thing is that the team as a whole can play to the best of their ability," - Pedersen finishes.
Having only had but a year since undergoing serious surgery in form of the much complicated procedure "The Trippel-Bypass-Appendixremoval-3000", Pedersen underlines that his physical status is undoubtedly compromised, and says he hopes his team understands he needs matchpractise.
TEAMtalk is under no illusion; Andrea Doria may have lost their first game in the clubs' history, but we are sure there is more to come from this highly technical and hard-working team.
