"The four centers most likely to start the season for the Blues are: Keith Tkachuk, Doug Weight, Jay McClement, and Ryan Johnson. If the Blues decide to play Weight on the wing, however, that leaves a spot open for 'Bulan.' or 'Bumps,' as we sometimes also call him, to make the team.

"50/50 för Berglund"
Right now, that seems like it has about a 50/50 chance of happening. We'll know more after the next pre-season game on Saturday, against Atlanta.  I believe that Berglund can indeed play in the AHL (Peoria) this season, if he and the Blues both feel that's the best place for him, because he was drafted from a European junior league and thus exempt from the AHL's 20-year-old Rule,' which is designed to keep NHL teams from pillaging the Canadian major junior leagues (OHL, QMJHL, WHL) of 18- and 19-year-old talent every year. He has said, however, that if he doesn't make the Blues' NHL roster out of camp, he will most likely go back to Sweden to play in Vasteras again for another season. And, as I said above, it's about 50/50 that he'll make the team at this point.

"Blues fans är mycket nyfikna på Berglund"
I will say, however, that there are an awful lot of Blues' fans who are very anxious to see Berglund make the NHL roster this season, and the Blues' management has repeatedly stated that they are committed to integrating the young prospects into the lineup as soon as possible, so the popular desire for Berglund to play in St. Louis may well factor into their decision.

"The sky is the limit for Berglund"
As far as Berglund's future in St. Louis, the sky is really the limit for him, as far as most of us are concerned. The fact that so many people want to see him stay in St. Louis and play in the NHL at age 19 is a reflection of how highly-regarded he is as a prospect.

Berglund scored against Dallas on Tuesday night, as you probably know, but according to a widely-read blogger here in St. Louis (Andy Strickland),
Berglund didn't play all that well, and was essentially benched in the third period when the game was tight. So take that for what it's worth"...
