Intervju med Nick Angell
Arboga-redaktionen har intervjuat Nick Angell som nyligen var på besök i Arboga med sitt nya lag (Frisk Asker).
Hello Nick how are you. I heard you are hurt in your back?
- Yes i did, just a minor strain and is better now.
What you think about Frisk Askers team?
- We have a lot of new faces and everyone seems really excited about the season. We have a great balance of
players that allows us to play an exciting style of hockey
Do you think Frisk Asker have a good chance to get up to the top of the Norway league?
-Absolutely! From what i have seen so far we have the talent for success. Its still early in the season and we are working on the systems and once we get those down we expect to be a dangerous team.
What did you do first when you come here in Arboga with Frisk Askers team?
- Had a kebabtalrik at Pizzeria Viking.
Do you have met some player already from your old team IFK Arboga?
- I kept in touch with a bunch of the guys over the summer and it was great to talk with all the guys i hadnt seen.
I have spoken with some fans from Frisk Asker in Norway and they think you are going to get the team a winning boost. What you think about that?
- Well its nice to have the support of fans. I plan to play at 100% every game and hope i live up to their expectations.
What do you do when you are not playing hockey?
- Well right now we have 2 practices a day so there isnt to much time but in the free time i do have i just like to relax and rest.
Do you think Arboga have a good chans in North Division this year with many good team like Västerås, Björklöven, Leksand, Skellefteå?
- From what i have noticed the North Allsvenskan looks stronger than it was last season with the addition of Västerås and Leksand, but Arboga looks really good and i think they will compete with any team in Allsvenskan.
What expectation do you have on this season in Norway?
- Dont have any expectations. I will just give 100 % everyday and with the talent we have on the team, success should follow.
Do know some one in your new team Frisk Asker?
- Yes, Joey Bastien is a canadien guy that i helped bring to asker. We played together in the US and i always felt he was a perfect match for european hockey.
When you came home to USA last season did you play hockey for some team in USA before you get a contract with Frisk Asker?
- I skated quite a bit but it was not organized hockey. Just a bunch of college and pro guys practiced before the season started to get in shape.
Was that something that surprised or impressed you about the game?
- I was really impressed with the way they stretched the ice. Arboga has a really small ice surface and i felt the way they used the ice was very good. Their sytems were very solid and that is a credit to the coaches. If a coach can have his team run the systems that well, and this early in the season, that speaks a lot to Ulf's abilty as a coach.
We from SvenskaFans.com/Arboga thank Nick Angell to get time to meet us in Arboga when his team is here to get a trainingcamp with Arboga.
