Näkyvä ” I am really excited for the coming season”
Vi ringde upp Örebros nyförvärv, backen Kristian Näkyvä för att höra om hans tankar om flytten till Närke.
How does it feel to transfer to Örebro for the coming season?
-Well, I am really excited for the coming season and start all over in a new city. There are a couple of Finnish guys that I know so it’s going to be nice to play together with them. Right now I have played with all four of them in the national team for two weeks. I also played with Sallinen some years in the juniors so he is a good friend to me.
How would you describe you as a player?
-I am a good skating defenseman, I like to play with the puck and find easy plays and try to help the team with the offensive side also.
What do you want to improve in Örebro with your play?
-I want to be a bigger leader in the team and also be more of an offensive threat. I always want to improve my all-round game but those are the main things that I focus on.
What was the main thing that you chosed Örebro?
- I think there would be would be a bigger role for me in Örebro and that is what I always trying to get. So I think it pushes me to be even better then.
What time of the year did Örebro showed interested in you?
- It was at the late part of the season maybe end of February, begging of March.
You have played in Behrn Arena many times before both with Linköping and Luleå, what do you say about the fans?
- I think it´s pretty loud; it feels like it´s always full with a lot of red jerseys in the stands. That is really good to have a really good homecrowd with a good atmosphere to the rink.
When will you arrive to the team?
- I don´t know actually, I am still with the national team so we have to see how it goes, hopefully make it to the World Championship. Maybe I will start in June.
