Paul Hilton ny Academy Manager
West Ham meddelade idag att Paul Hilton, tidigare försvarare i klubben, blir ny Academy Manager.
47-årige Paul Hilton har numera ansvaret för utvecklingen av U16-spelarna i West Ham. Academy Director Tony Carr säger följande:
"I am delighted that Paul has come on board with us. The position has been created following a restructuring of the coaching and technical programme within the Academy.
"From next season onwards, we will be placing a lot more focus on the development of our 15 and 16-year-old schoolboys, who will be taking part in a day release programme from school, enabling them to experience a greater involvement with the Club.
"They will benefit from more intensive coaching, physically and technically, and it will ease the transition when they step up from schoolboy level to the full-time Academy - helping us to discover how they cope and make better decisions when offering scholarships at under-18 level.
"We interviewed several applicants for the role and Paul was the outstanding candidate. He has fantastic experience with young players and I'm sure will be a huge asset to the Academy going forward.
"This appointment also displays the ambition of the Club to invest time, effort and money in the Academy system and keep us at the forefront of the game when it comes to developing young players."
