Forest vidare i Ligacupen efter en komfortabel 4-0 seger.
Forest är vidare till den andra omgången av ligacupen efter seger med 4-0 mot Morecambe hemma på City Ground. Segern var helt ohotad efter bland annat två mål från anfallaren Robert Earnshaw, mål som borde betyda att pressen på honom nu minskade i och med dem första målen för sin nya klubb.
Forest valde att vila en del spelare men inkluderade även nyförvärvet från Manchester United, Lee Martin, i startelvan som enligt rapporter gjorde en mycket bra match.
I nästa omgång väntar Sunderland, ett lag som Forest förlorade mot (0-1) under försäsongen. Laget leds av den tidigare Foresthjälten Roy Keane och i laget finns bland annat mittfältaren Andy Reid som länge spelade i Forest. Matchen spelas den 27:e augusti och visas på tv.

CC säjer: "It was a comfortable win. We looked a little more potent than we did on Sunday. There were some nice signs that we can be creative in the final third. We came away smiling, but we were at home to a League Two side and we were expected to win. Our attitude was what made us win though. They all looked as though they are fighting for their place."
Om Earnshaw säjer Calderwood: "That was a good reason for us to play him. You could see the delight when he scored the second goal. It was a nice start for him. He is a fantastic person in the dressing room, a real ambassador for all our young pros. He gives a lot of guidance out during 90 minutes. I would not like to put a level on the number of goals we expect from him, we just have to be a consistently scoring team. But if we can get near to his ratio of the past, we will be doing very well."
Om nyförvärvet Martin som kom till klubben vid lunchtid igår säjer Calderwood: "I had seen him play before and it was almost a seamless transition, he looked as if he had played with the boys before. There were some nice combinations and he always looked as though he would find a pass for Earnshaw. He got into some good positions and we knew he would add pace to the side, which would give us a bigger threat. That was one of the reasons we played Robert with him, because we were looking ahead to the next three or four games and getting that combination started."
Calderwood var också full av beundran för Adam Newbold som hoppade in i den 76:e minuten: "What a great finish from Adam, that displays real potential. Physically he is strong. People might not realise it, but he is one of the quickest players at the club."
Kantspringaren Arron Davies fick bryta matchen på grund av skada och Calderwood förklarade: "He has a tightness in his calf. It was not a kick, it was more of a pull and he could feel it, so it was a precaution as much as anything. He looks doubtful for the weekend. But Garath McCleary did well when he came on"
Calderwood fortsätter: "Morecambe beat Wolves and Preston last year, so we had to be careful. We went at it right to the end. We never took our foot off the pedal at any stage"
Om mötet med Sunderland i nästa omgång: "The game is between two Premiership fixtures, so they may have one eye on those when they come here, but they have a very big squad with quality players so, even taking that into account, they will have a strong side. It is still Roy Keane coming back to Forest and I am sure there will be a big crowd."
