Ägaren Robbie Cowling säger i en intervju med Evening Gazette och East Anglia Daily Times att han är väldigt besviken på hur laget genomförde säsongen.
Colchesters ägare och tillika ordförande hade höga förväntningar på laget i League One efter nedflyttningen från Coca Cola Championship förra säsongen men The U's klarade bara av en 12:e placering i tabellen, 13 poäng från att nå kvalet.

Cowling sa till Gazette
“I have to be honest and say that I’ve been really disappointed with the season just gone. I think we had a good enough squad to have done a lot better. Maybe the move to the new stadium was a factor, I’m not sure. I think the relegation also had an impact on the team."

“What we have seen this year has been the best away form in the club’s history - and quite possibly the worst at home. I almost got to the stage where I expected us to win away and lose at home. There are lots of things to consider. But what I do know is that everyone has done everything to try and make it a success.”
