Singaporianskt bolag högaktuellt som ny ägare
I stunder då man tappar hakan över Mike Ashleys sätt att ånyo göra åtlöje av klubben finns det nu hopp om att gårdagens ”lägga-upp-sig-på-blocket” taktik blir hans sista drag i klubben. Idag förekommer det nämligen rapporter om att Singapore baserade The Profit Group inlett förhandlingar om att köpa loss klubben från den nuvarande regimen.

Oh herregud bespara mig smärtan från att behöva kommentera denna händelse. Jag kan förvisso småle åt situationen med de utomstående men inombords gråter jag. Vad har vi gjort för att få utstå denna förnedring? Hela omvärlden asgarvar ju åt oss än i skrivande stund!
Nåja nog om gårdagen. Nu blickar vi framåt, bakfulla likt aldrig förr förvisso men framtiden är det enda som räknas. Och Newcastle United Football Clubs framtid ser ut att kunna hamna i andras händer. Den mest trolige kandidaten till att ta över klubben i dagsläget tros vara ett bolag som kallar sig The Profit Group. Bolaget opererar utifrån Singapore och har i den forne Liverpoolspelaren Steve McMahon erfarenhet av fotbollsvärlden då Steve går under titeln ”Commercial Director” inom företaget.
Oroa er dock inte för att McMahon plötsligt ska dyka upp som manager istället för Alan Shearer. En representant för företaget har istället klargjort för den lokala tidningen The Evening Chronicle att vår främste målskytt genom tiderna minsann är mannen för jobbet. Han klargjorde också att man har en klar och tydlig plan för vad man vill med sitt ägarskap som ska sett ut på följande vis:
• De vill involvera supportrarna i klubbens dagliga verksamhet i allt större utsträckning. Modellen ska ha vissa likheter med hur Barcelona är styrt.
• Man vill först anställa Alan Shearer som manager för klubben och sedan ge honom de ekonomiska musklerna som behövs för att ta klubben tillbaka till The Premiership.
• Ta lärdom av Ashleys misstag och anställa människor med kunskap inom fotbollsvärlden inom ledningen.
• Utöka kapaciteten på Saint James’ Park till 60 000.

"We have put a plan together and it’s one we think that the fans will be behind.
