Norwood högst på önskelistan

Andy Thorn vill gärna locka kontraktslöse Oliver Norwood till ricoh arena.

ANDY THORN has admitted that signing Olly Norwood is top of his Coventry City summer wish-list.

The Sky Blues announced on Wednesday morning that the club's transfer embargo had been lifted after it had filed its overdue accounts.

And Thorn remains hopeful that Norwood will return to the Ricoh Arena after a turning down a new deal at Manchester United - and become City's first summer signing.

The City boss is also pressing ahead with his bid to keep central defensive partners Richard Keogh and Martin Cranie.

“I’d love to re-sign Olly,” he confirmed.

“Keogh’s under contract so he’s not going anywhere as far as I am concerned.

"I want him to stay and lead us back into the Championship and even though the embargo has been in place we’ve still been in negotiations with Richard and Martin Cranie about keeping them at the club because I want to keep them, as I do all of my good players.

“I want to get promoted the same as everyone else so let’s see what we can do now.

"It’s a massive thing lifted off of us and now we need to move forward and put the plans into action after all the hard work we’ve been doing.

“And hopefully it will give the fans a lift as well.”
