Scandinavian Shrews in English
In 1999, Kenneth Löfgren started the Swedish Branch on the internet. The intention was to create a network for Shrews in Sweden. After a while more and more people started to visit the site, including fans from Norway and Finland. In Spring 2004, Mattias Wikstrand took over as webmaster as Kenneth didn’t have the time required to run the site. At the same time, Swedish Branch became Scandinavian Shrews.
In 2004, Shrewsbury succeeded in returning to the Football League. The same year, a few months later, Scandinavian Shrews have been chosen as the first FL2 team in SvenskaFans, the largest supporter site in Scandinavia. SvenskaFans.com has on average 600.000 hits every day.
In Spring 2005, we made our first organised trip to Shrewsbury.
The idea is that the website will be a natural meeting place for all Swedish and Scandinavian Shrewsbury Town supporters, but also for fans from other teams.
