Geremi ny kapten
Scott Parkers ersättare blev Joey Barton men hans kaptensbindel gick till en annat nyförvärv nämligen Geremi.
Idag meddelade Sam Allardyce att han utsett Geremi till ny lagkapten för Newcastle United. Kamerunaren kom i somras från Chelsea och blir därmed lagkapten nummer två på lika många år sen Shearer la skorna på hyllan.
Sam Allardyce om sitt val:
"Geremi did really well in the friendlies and has impressed me both on and off the pitch since joining the Club,
"He is a proven winner and has been successful at the highest level in England and Spain.
"He speaks several languages and will be a great communicator on and off the pitch.
"I hope he has a long and illustrious career wearing the armband at Newcastle United."
Nu är det bara att hoppas på att Geremi leder oss till vinst i sin första match mot Bolton.
