Nu är det nervöst i SW6...
Dean, uppväxt med snacket om "the DERBY", nu får han uppleva sitt första i "fiendens boning"...
It´s the most anticipated game of the season. The fixture we all looked for when the dates were released all those months ago. And it´s finally here. Chelsea v Fulham. The excitement is clear from all angles of the club. The atmosphere should be amazing, hopefully our boys will rise to the occasion and give us the sort of performance we are looking for.
The 1-1 draw at home gives us hope, particularly after the way we attacked them in the second half. Their recent results aren´t too special either and if Charlton can beat them then there is absolutely no reason we can´t. Players like Marlet will be dying to be involved in this one. It´s the reason that he, Van der Sar and co signed for us. They want to be on the big stage and this is their chance to impress.
Hopefully Sean Davis will be fit although I´m not too sure on the likeliness of that as I write. I´d expect Marlet and Saha to start up front and the midfield to be something like Boa, Steed, Collins and Legwinski. I also expect Andy Melville to be brought back to the starting line up even if his performances haven´t been too great recently.
Predicting this one is like predicting the lottery results but I´m pretty sure it won´t be a repeat of 1985 when we were beaten 5-3, this time round I suspect there´ll only be one goal in it.
I´ve got a feeling we´ll draw to be honest. 1-1 seems reasonable but every night this week I´ve dreamt of us winning so hopefully we can nick it and win 2-1. Whatever happens I would bet my last penny on Marlet scoring for us. I´ve just got this feeling tomorrow could be his night!
COME ON FULHAM!!
Keep the faith!
