"Ever since I was a kid I've dreamed about scoring for the Swans. I suppose it's been a long time fulfilling that dream. But I'm delighted. I had a load of family and friends watching the game and I'm just pleased for them and the fans."
"I've been practicing my finishing a lot in training and I'd like to thank the staff for all the time they've devoted to me. The first goal was a tap-in, but I was really pleased with the second one. Now I've just got to keep my head down and keep working hard. I'd love to get more games under my belt and score more goals, but the competition within the squad is tough and I've got to keep taking my chance when it comes.''
Även Swanseas tränare Roberto Martinez öste lovord över MacDonald:
"Shaun is a fantastic player. All the players will tell you that if the fans could pay money to watch him train, they would. They were two great finishes and the second goal was as good as you get. That's why the boys call him our Welsh Zinedine Zidane!''
