Inför klubbens försäsongsturné i USA i juli kom det lite trevlig info från CIA, som jag tycker att ni bör ta del av;
Greetings all,
Chelsea in America would like to extend the hand of friendship to our blue friends around the world this summer when Chelsea play four games in the US.
We are in the process of putting together the pieces for a great summer and would love to welcome any of you or your members who might find themselves in a game venue to join us for some good times, good football, and maybe an adult beverage or two ;-)
Plans are still “Work in Progress” but we are working with Chelsea and the venues to try and offer our members the best bang for (what’s left of) their buck. For starters we have arranged to be able to sell match tickets in our own proper supporter’s section (not the public “Chelsea” section advertised on Ticket Master, and without the TM fees!) We will also be selecting a “Chelsea pub” in each venue city where we will host a number of events from quizzes to raffles for Chelsea gear and hopefully even a legend on a stool (previous US tours have seen Frank Leboeuf, Charlie Cooke and Neil Barnett to name but a few). We also hope to have some “members only” events which we would like to offer to members of any CFC affiliated supporters club (for example, two years ago in LA we were given private access to a closed door training session).
Anyway, as I said, work is still underway so we can’t confirm too much at this stage, but we encourage you to direct your members to the Chelsea in America (yes, CIA ;-) web site (www.ChelseaInAmerica.com) and follow the link to the summer tour. As we lock in plans they will appear there, or you can always visit the discussion board and even sign up on the mailing list so as to get the latest and greatest info.
