Officiellt: Joselu klar för Newcastle
Newcastle presenterade under onsdagen sitt sjätte nyförvärv då spanske forwarden Joselu kritat på för skatorna.
Den tyskfödde spanjoren kommer närmast från Stoke, och kontraktet är tecknat på 3 år. Köpesumman uppgår enligt uppgift till ca £5M.
Rafa Benitez välkomnade nykomlingen med följande ord:
"We have known Joselu since his days at the Real Madrid academy, and we know that he has the potential to do well for us.
"Obviously he has experience of English football and the Premier League and that was another thing we took into consideration. We think if we can exploit his full potential he will be a good signing for us.
"He knows and accepts the challenge we've given him at Newcastle United and he's keen to come and fight for a position in the team.”
Joselu spenderade större delen av förra sösonge på lån hos Deportivo La Coruña, och har även representerat Celta Vigo, Real Madrid, Hoffenheim och Eintracht Frankfurt.
Spanjorens tröjnummer presenterades som nummer 21, och han är tillgänglig för uttagning i matchtruppen mot Huddersfield på söndag om Rafa så önskar.
