Rapport från Dave, vår man på plats
Vår man på plats behövde någon dag att vila upp sig på innan rapporten kom. Det är tuffa dagar nu....
Boys,
To the tune of "Show me the way to Amarillo" sing.......
"SHOW ME THE WAY TO ASTON VILLA..., MAN UNITED AND MIDDLESBOROUGH
SAY GOOD-BYE TO COCA-COLA
THE PREMIERSHIP IS SCARED OF US"
(OK the last line is probably not that true to be honest but its a good song anyway).
Saturdays win at Colchester was not a vintage match by any means but at this stage of the season its all about results. Colchester only seemed to come into it right at the end and they nearly snatched an equaliser with a couple of shots that flew over the bar.
Throughtout the match Stoke supporters were receiving information via mobiles & texts of the match at Hull City. The news that Hull had scored a late winner left a real sense of anti-climax but at the end of the day Stoke did what they had to do.
After the Palace home defeat who would of thought that we would then of gone on and won our next three games.
Liam Lawrence said after the game that Stoke fans kept giving him score updates every time he took a corner in the second half. Lawrence looked gutted when the tannoy announcer gave out the Hull score after our match had finished.
Its all about holding our nerve now for one final game.
COME ON STOKE........
