Aye up duck,
These are the games that Stoke really need to win to have any chance of staying up.
Stoke had 3 ex-Sunderland players on show (Sorro, Higgy & Rory).
Sorro...Didn't have a lot to do to be honest. Made a good second half save when called upon.
Griff.....Another tidy game. Defended well and made some lovely in swinging touchline passes to the forwards.
Higgy...Good game. Worked really hard up & down the flank. He looked completely knackered at one point in the first half after a series of runs forward.
Ab Faye...Awesome. Booked first half. He also performed a SOLID shoulder charge on Cisse right in front of the Boothen. Cisse didn't know what had hit him.
Shawcross...Great game. Can't remember him putting a foot wrong. Looks to of benefited from having some time away and also by playing alongside Ab Faye.
Diao.....Thought he had one of his best games for Stoke. Got booked but he made the right decision in bringing the player down.
Olly......There are obvious certain limitations in his play but there is no doubt that this guy works 100% for the cause. I like him.
Delap....Developing into a true Stoke legend. Aswell as his throw-ins he actually had a good game .
Soares...Had a quiet game to be fair.
Fuller.....Had one of those games where he can look a little disinterested at times. Great asset for the team. Scored his 4th of the season.
Sidebe....Classic Sidebe. Won headers & worked hard all evening.
Tonge....Replaced Soares. Looked lively. Played a delightful ball through to Fuller who hit the post
Amdy Faye...Replaced Olly towards the end. Fresh legs to see out the game.
Kitson.....Replaced Fuller with the clock ticking. (This time they did shake hands). Only on for a minute or two but won a couple of challenges and got a good reception from the crowd.
Its such a good feeling to be out of the bottom 3 for a change.
If we get enough points to match the amount of games we have played we should be OK.
10 points from 10 games means we are on course.
.........Dave
