Colchester fick dock vänta till 80:e minuten innan Kayode Odejayi petade in målet
som avgjorde matchen.
Vårat hem är våran Borg!
"It's a well-oiled phrase, but we want to make this ground a fortress. We want to make it hard for teams to come here and when you do that, you have to be able to break teams down which we did".
"It was an awful game. Huddersfield came to spoil it, they played with a back five and came to counter-attack. I expected that would happen at some stage with us, but perhaps two or three weeks down the line".
"It wasn't a particularly good spectacle, but we dealt with the weather better and won it."
Vinnarmentalitet
“It's got to be almost like a computer programme where people do things automatically,” said Boothroyd, who made a similar analogy following his side's 1-1 draw with Tranmere last week when claiming that it was a case of getting details into 'the little microchips' in his players' heads. The big thing for me is consistency and since I have been here sometimes the defending has been great and sometimes it has been a bit milky.
We are nowhere near being a winning machine yet. I think we are 60 to 70 per cent along, so there's still a way to go yet.
I believe that two and two can make six if you get the team side of things right. The whole point of team play is that you make the sum of the parts add up to more than their individual worth.
People talk about belief being the perquisite for winning championships. Well personally I think you've got to see it first, then believe it, then do it. That's why it has been good that we have got two quick wins.”
