1: What are your opinions on NP leaving? What do you think about his time at the club and how well do you think that Barmby will be able to replace him?
Im dissapointed in the way it has happened, knowing that deep down he didnt really want to be here in the first place, whats makes it worse is the fact that he was doing a bloody good job, building us a squad of players who i could see taking us back up to the Premiership. Barmby has fallen lucky really, he has inherited a good squad of players who respect what he has done for the club, the test for him will come in January when he can see who he can keep hold of and who he chooses to add to the team, but i am confident we will be there or thereabouts come May.
2: Has the season so far been up to your expectations?
The season so far has been beyond what i expected, i thought we would be mid table and in for a season of tedious football, so to be showing up as well as we are at this moment is a bonus.
3: What has been the biggest surprise this season? On both a positive and a negative note.
Biggest surprise on a negative note was the resignation of N.P, but on a positive i am pleased to see the team performing so well as a unit.
4: Who has been our best/worse player?
Best player this season so far for me has been Koren every game he has looked a class act. Worst player is a tough one as i cant single out any one player as being bad, if you hold a gun to my head i would say Gulasci only because i dont have a confident feeling when he plays in goal.
5: How much will Stewart's return affect our game?
Already seen yesterday with his goal that he gives us another attacking option and he has what defenders hate, pace and skill, his return could be the defining point of our season
6: Will we be able to keep hold on Chester/Rosenior? Do you think Nigel might come back to haunt us?
They will be staying with us, N.P leaving as he has done will have hurt the players and lost any respect they had for him.
7: What positions do we need to strengthen during January? And who would you suggest to Barmby?
We need another central defender and right back as well as a winger who can play left or right, then we should be all systems go.
8: How good are we? (With all players available) Will we reach the play-offs or higher when the season is summarised?
At this moment in time with a fully fit squad we are good enough to get promoted without needing the play off lottery
I thank you Simon for taking your time to answer my questions!
