Brian Little's drömelva
Den då långhåriga drufsen som förutom att han drog på sig villatröjan 302 gånger under en 10 års period, också coachade sitt villa mellan 94-98.
Brians drömelva är elvan som vann 1972 års upplaga utav FA-Youth Cup :
1. JAKE FINDLAY. Jake was the life and soul of the dressing room. He was great fun - a big daft so - and - so! He was also a monster of a goalkeeper who could kick the ball a mile.
2. JOHN GIDMAN. My best mate. John and I were as thick as thieves. We used to run on to the pitch together, usually singing Rod Stewart's Maggie May! He was a fantastic player.
3. BOBBY McDONALD. A massive talent, Bobby had a wonderful left foot and was great at set-pieces. Always calm, he evolved into a really strong character.
4. ROY STARK. Our captain, he was as hard a player as I ever came across. I was in digs with him for a while. He lives in Australia now.
5. ALAN LITTLE. Like Roy, Alan also could take care of himself. Although he was my younger brother, he tended to look after me, rather than the other way around.
6. BRIAN MELLING. Popularly known as Jimmy - probably because there were two Brians in the team - he was the quiet one of the group but was an industrious worker in midfield.
7. JIMMY BROWN. What a character. He made the first team before he was 17 and was the golden boy. We all envied him as he drove around in a Capri 3-litre GT, which was a pretty flash car at that time.
8. BRIAN LITTLE. I was the luckiest member of the side. Seven of the others also played for the first team but I was lucky enough to come back as manager, too - not that anyone would have predicted that when I had long hair!
9. TONY BETTS. My striking partner was known as The Camel because he worked his socks off and made life easy for me. He was married, and the rest of us used to go back to his house most afternoons to watch TV.
10. DOUGIE GEORGE. A player who never got the praise he deserved, he was the unsung hero of the team - the workhorse. He lives in Holland now and whenever I chat to him, he sometimes has difficulty speaking English!
11. MIKE BRADY. A tiny but talented player from Aberdeen, with great technique. The only problem was that no-ome could understand him. We had a few Scots lads, but spoke a different language altogether.
