Welcome to Sweden and Aston Villa's pre-season on the westcoast of Sweden.
AVSC Sweden say Welcome to all of you who thinking about visit Sweden in July. Here you can find links to sites that can be useful. We also give you ticket prices to the games and where you can meet other Villafans before the games, and after.

July 21 (Thu) Gällstad-Aston Villa
K.O 19.00. The match will be played i Gällstad, a village outside Borås. You can buy tickets on matchday. Prices: Adults: 120 SEK.
It´s not easy to come to Gällstad if you not have a car....There is a train from Gothenburg central 15.20. The train arrives in Borås 16.23. Then you have to go by bus 204 from Borås,16.30, (the bus leaves from the same place where the train arrives) and you will arrive in Gällstad 17.22.
Then the big problem: There is no bus back to Gothenburg! You have to take a cab to Borås and from there take bus 100 from Borås to Gothenburg. The bus leaves Borås at 21.45 or 23.05.
Villa Sweden advise all Villafans to rent a car, it will be much easier....
July 23 (Saturday) Jönköpings Södra-Aston Villa K.O 16.00 The match will be played at Stadsparksvallen,(9000 spectators.)

Before the game all Villans will be gattering at the pub Bishop Arms from noon. The pub is located in same building as Stora Hotellet. Adress: Hotellplan.
July 26 (Tuesday) GAIS-Aston Villa.
K.O 19.00 The match will be played at Gamla Ullevi.

Villafans will be at Sektion B.(on the longside)
Before the game all Villans will be gattering at the pub Harrys. The pub is located 5-10 minutes walk from Gamla Ullevi and are open from noon. Adress: Vasagatan 43.
Aston Villa will be training in Kungsbacka when the team doesn´t play matches. Kungsbacka is 20 km south of Gothenburg and it´s easy to travel with train between Kungsbacka and Gothenburg.
Aston Villa will train on Tingbergsvallen every day except on Sundays. On mornings 10.30am and afternoon 16.15pm.
On matchday, only morning.
If we have Gothenburg as our campsite the length to travel to the different locations is as follows:
-Jonkoping is 120 km east.
-GAIS is in Gothenborg
The train between Gothenburg and Kungsbacka takes 25-30 minutes and costs around 60-80 SEK with return.
The train Gothenburg-Jönköping costs around 320 SEK with return and it takes just under 2 hours one way.

Cityairline
Cityairline have directflights between Birmingham and Gothenburg (Landvetter) and the journey only takes two hours. There are buses between the airport and the city center.
Ryan Air
Ryan Air has flights to Gothenburg (Gothenburg City airport) from Stanstead. There are buses between the airport and the city center.
If you flying with Ryan Air, notice that they have a good deal with the Hotel Opera in Gothenburg.

As for hotels we have looked at some in the Gothenburg area. There are other things to see than footy there. Nightlife is excellent!
The prices various a lot and the best thing is to contact the hotel to get correct prices. All hotels we here link to are in the city centre of Gothenburg and you can easy walk to the station to take the train to Kungsbacka.

Scandic Hotel has many hotels in Gothenburg. If you want to stay in their hotels and still wants to live in the the city center you shall stay at Scandic Crown, Scandic Europa, Scandic Opalen or Scandic Rubinen
