NOW will Randy Lerner go and take the mumbling Paul Lambert with him.
If this shambles continues we will be in League Two along with Bradford – unless we pass them on the way.
This is turning out to be a season of new lows for this once great football club.
From where I’m standing, Lambert hasn’t got a clue, the defence is dreadful and the midfield is lightweight to say the least.
Both these areas need strengthening urgently.

THE thing that most annoyed me about the Bradford defeat was Lambert sitting on the bench not knowing what to do.
Why wasn’t he on the touchline barking orders and geeing his players up?
He looked a broken man when the third goal went in. He just didn’t know how to put it right.
I know he’s trying to build a team with kids but it just isn’t working.
Bradford were always going to be tricky but to lose 3-1. Come on.
Lambert needs to sign some experienced players this month or Villa are heading for the Championship.
L SMITH, Solihull
THE defeat at Bradford is the latest chapter in a poor season for Villa but fans cannot afford to be totally negative.
It was always going to be a difficult season and it is backs-to-the-wall time.
The season is on a knife edge. It can still be successful – or it can be a disaster.
The fans can make a difference. Those of us who can remember the 1960s will remember a much worse situation, with the club actually bankrupt.
In 1987 the club was a shambles and relegation was only saved from getting much worse when Graham Taylor came in and sorted us out.
Paul Lambert is trying to do the same. He must be supported and on Saturday I expect fans to give the team 100 per cent support.
We all know there are massive problems to be solved but negativity is the worst route to take. Support the team.

WE are rebuilding – our last trophy was in 1996.
Some fans carry on like we should be top four. If we fail to win the League Cup and don’t get relegated it will be no different than any other year.
Our two best defenders are injured. Lambert has a plan but it takes time.
We will reverse the tie against Bradford and stay up – I guarantee it. In Lambert I trust.

I’M starting to have doubts now. Losing 3-1 to a League Two team beggars belief. Very disappointed.
M O’CONNOR
I HATE to say it but Warnock and Hutton would be a better option at the back at the minute.
We never got beaten so badly last season.
C TROWMAN
WARNOCK and Hutton to return. Never thought I’d say that.
Desperate times.
N SALTER
PAUL Lambert will never get results with the players he has brought in.
The signings have been poor and the formation isn’t working. He had £20 million to spend and decided to bring in lower-league players
The back four look lost and all over the place and there’s nothing in the midfield to command the game.
Bannan and Delph got outplayed by League Two players.
If the board go into work every day thinking Villa are safe or are doing well as a team then they need sacking.
I have never seen a squad like Villa’s in all my life of supporting them. We don’t replace players, we don’t buy quality, we have never replaced Milner, Young, Petrov, Downing.

IMAGINE if Alex McLeish had done this.
