Dave var inte på plats när Stoke mötte Hull på KC Stadium senast. Därför delegerade han lite arbete till Pete. Thanks Pete!
One minutes silence was impeccable from all sides of the ground before the game began.
Strange game with Stoke seeming to be the dominant team, with Hull having more of the possession. Once again I felt that Pulis should have gone for a more attacking team. Hull were there for the taking as they were low in confidence and “The Orange Tango” was under big pressure. What is wrong with Lawrence on the right with Delap or Whitehead joining Whelan in midfield. Go for it Pulis next game you may be surprised how easy it is to win a game when you attack.
However when a Team is in trouble you can rely on Stoke to help them out !!
Great start up the far end with the ever improving Etherington scoring on a long ball over the top by Shawcross. By chance I was just taking photo as he scored. Dave you would have been proud of me except it was to far away and I was a split second to late. See below.
Felt good at half time and not really concerned as was the rest of our fellow Stokies. “who ate all the pies” !!
Why do old Stoke players always score against us and Olofinjana scored the best goal he will probably ever score. One all but I thought still in control.
Had a close call, when Etherington put in a good cross resulting in a Hull defender nearly scored an own goal but it hit the goalkeepers elbow and rebounded agonisingly wide of the post, with Beattie just missing the follow up.
I had only said before the game that we are doing well on the disciplinary front with no sending’s off this season. Me and my big mouth!! Seen it again after on Telly and it looks a bit harsh but at the game it looked as though the Ref was right to send Abdoulaye off.
Game then changed and we seemed to panic a bit leading to Tommy for some reason punching out a shot from the ugly one and it rebounded to that very long named Hull substitute to bash into the net.
Doom and gloom. How could we loose to this crap !! Not much chat on the way back. “Green Army” !!
Tommy – worst game for a long time, very hesitant.
Danny C - poor game though better than Huth
Ryan - Great game. Solid at the back and seems to end up on the wing when we are in trouble and puts in good crosses.
Abdoulaye - I am sure he is carrying an injury. Perhaps his 3 game ban will sort him out.
Huth – How can you loose so much form in 2 weeks, worst yet from somebody who has really impressed so far.
Rory – Just not there at the moment, needs a spell on the side lines. Bring back Lawrence on the right
Glenn (my hero, I am Irish) – Good game, can tackle and pass. May not always come off but at least he tries. Beattie let him take the free kicks, you are rubbish at them.
Whitehead – Pulis does not allow him to come forward which restricts him so much.
Etherington – great game, our most dangerous forward.
Beattie - tries hard but it was just not his day.
Ricardo – poor game just lacked his normal drive.

Tuncay - should have been brought on earlier. Looked very lively. Very unlucky to have been brought off because of sending off.
Kitson – Pulis has managed to knock all the confidence he gained out of him, shame.
Wilko – Great tackler crap passer but he seems to be improving. Should now get a little run to prove himself.
