Ferdinand: "En speciell känsla"
Rio Ferdinand medgav att det är en härlig känsla att ha kommit upp i samma antal titlar som Liverpool i år.
Rio Ferdinand missade dagens match mot Arsenal som avgjorde guldet till United, men var på plats och mottog medaljen samt deltog i festligheterna på Old Trafford.
Det var nu Uniteds 11:e ligaseger i Barclays Premier League, och sammanlagt 18:e, men Ferdinand menar på att laget är hungrig på mera och bestämda att gå förbi Liverpool i antal titlar.
"There's definitely an added satisfaction to this title win because we've equalled Liverpool's record,
The fact that we've beaten to do it means it's a really sweet feeling.
Overtaking that record is definitely the next aim now."
Spelarna gjorde också ett ärevarv runt planen och fick erfara fansen fantastiska stöd under hela säsongen, något som Ferdinand lyfter högt.
"The fans travel far and wide and spend a lot of money coming to watch us week in, week out and for a lot of them it’s what they live for," explained Rio.
We’re very appreciative of their great support and it’s only right we say thank you because without them the club wouldn’t survive. And it really is a genuine thank you.
We’ve had some great times with the fans this season and hopefully there’s plenty more to follow in the coming seasons."
